GETTING NEW CLIENTS WITH SOCIAL MEDIA

GETTING NEW CLIENTS WITH SOCIAL MEDIA

Rob Plevin

Getting new clients is the number one priority for most businesses. After all, if a steady influx of clients dries up, a business won’t be able to survive, that’s why companies plow thousands into marketing budgets to entice new customers to buy their products or use their services. Getting new clients isn’t easy, as most companies will tell you – however persistence usually pays off and a successful marketing campaign can lead to huge gains in client numbers.

To get new clients a business has to let people know they exist – they can do this through many different ways including the local media, but many businesses are starting to use the internet. Marketing through websites like Facebook has become big business – and best of all it’s free (unless you’re paying to display targeted adverts on Facebook). A lot of businesses can start getting new clients simply by setting up a Facebook page and interacting with other Facebook users – it’s that easy. Of course Facebook isn’t the only social media website out there, there are lots of them.

Looking for a social media manager?

A social media manager can be appointed – usually you’ll never had to meet a social media manager face to face, they can be found easily on the internet – there’s a whole load of social media managers out there! They will offer their advice and experience to have your company getting new clients in no time by bolstering your presence on social media. Links back to your company website are just one way of getting new clients.

Aside from social media businesses tend to market their services and websites through paid clicks. The bigger the budget you can set aside for paid clicks the more traffic you will get. Just because you’re getting clicks doesn’t mean they’re quality ones though, so that’s why it’s advisable to set very specific search parameters when using a PPC service.

SEO is King

The third big way of getting new clients through leads on the internet is SEO. A huge industry, SEO is rapidly becoming more and more popular as a means of getting traffic as companies start to realize the importance of search engine rankings. Instead of marketing to the customer through paid clicks and Facebook messages – why not let the customer come to you? A customer will usually perform a search on the internet then head for a result close to the top – if you can get your website or business pretty close to the top the results aren’t hard to predict. Another great thing about SEO is that it lets people find out information about your business in the blink of an eye. Whereas before a phonebook was commonplace for finding out business’s information, people instead head straight to the search engines now.

Free traffic? Surely not!

Rank highly in a search engine and you can watch the traffic come cascading in. Getting new clients is easy when a mix of the three main internet marketing frameworks are used. Initially internet marketing won’t be cheap but when your social media and SEO campaigns kick in the results should speak for themselves. Aside from some content updates social media and SEO require little maintenance or cost. Ongoing costs with PPC can further be reduced bgy placing lower bid prices for keywords and search terms.

Don’t steam in all guns blazing and commit your entire marketing budget to just one internet marketing method. There’s a reason people use a mixture of all three, and that’s because the results speak for themselves. Find that happy medium and use a mixture of three for the best results. Get the best of all three worlds and start getting new clients now!
